Koalect API’s are built in GraphQL. There are 2 different API’s available for Koalect.
1. Private API
With the private API you can transfer the complete dataset from Koalect to external systems, such as a CRM system.
2. Public API
The public API you can also transfer data from Koalect to external systems. The difference with the private API, is that in the public API there is no sensitive or personal identifiable data (for example: personal information of donors, like private home address; registry number; phone number; etc.). The Public API contains only information about projects, campaigns and forms. For open websites we advise to use the Public API as it’s safer.
The Public API contains only information about projects, campaigns and forms; and it’s therefore the best use for showing data on your website. For example: to show counters of amounts collected or how many donors donated already for your project, etc.
