Project number is a simple, 6-digit random code assigned to each project to make it easier to identify and share. Unlike the standard project ID—which is a long and complex unique identifier (UID)—the short ID is designed to be user-friendly and practical in everyday situations.
This feature is especially useful for offline donations. For example, a donor can write the project numner on a cheque. When the cheque is received, the organization can quickly use this code in MyKoalect to search for and identify the correct project, and then manually register the donation.
In short, the project number provides a convenient and efficient way to find a project through search and link donations to the right project without relying on complex identifiers.
